Our TDMS torsional vibration system has been featured in thus month’s EPRI Journal. It outlines how our data from our sensors has helped Duke Energy establish a more comprehensive plan for their upcoming upgrade at Bad Creek Pumped Storage Station. “By using the sensors, we’ve identified frequencies of concern that indicate torsional vibration,” said Duncan. The coaxial vibration sensor is designed for extreme electromagnetic noise environments including switching motor monitoring in CNC machines as well as opening up groundbreaking possibilities in power plant monitoring applications. Mechanical bandwidth up to 22kHz covering a wide variety of condition monitoring needs. EMI is a constant struggle with telemetry systems. Analog systems have […]
Chris discusses Suprocktech monitoring solutions for Hydroelectric plants at the EPRI booth in Hydrovision 2018, Charlotte, NC.
It’s alive, again
Testing our high-temp strain gage on a cantilever beam @ 1000°F. Measurements are proving stable at these temperatures for extended periods of time. Looks like it is ready for prime-time in the field. Practical applications include boilers, aerospace, crotch weld crack propagation, steam valve monitoring, direct bearing health monitoring, etc.
