Through a joint effort with EPRI and American Electric Power (AEP), we have installed our latest high temperature strain gage modules on high temperature boiler header piping to monitor cracking in real time. The high temperature gages are pre-installed on weldable shims for easy installation free of special adhesives and soldering in the field. The […]
Dr. Suprock demonstrates our high-temp strain gages’ remarkable stability at extreme temperatures (1,200°F) The max constant operating temp of our gages is currently 1800°F/980°C. Even better, this stability comes with supersonic frequency bandwidth, useful for gas turbine combustion dynamics, HRSG monitoring, boiler pipe crack monitoring, etc. These strain gages can now be “printed” onto metal […]

A revolutionary atomic deposition manufacturing process has allowed Suprocktech to increase high-temp capability of our high temp strain sensors from 1500°F to 3100°F, opening up a new world of opportunities in the power, transportation and aerospace industries. Details to follow. For more information on our cutting edge strain technology, visit here: https://suprocktech.org/strain/
Testing our high-temp strain gage on a cantilever beam @ 1000°F. Measurements are proving stable at these temperatures for extended periods of time. Looks like it is ready for prime-time in the field. Practical applications include boilers, aerospace, crotch weld crack propagation, steam valve monitoring, direct bearing health monitoring, etc.
