We are proud to announce that we have successfully installed the TDMS system and will performing torsional testing on Vogtle unit 4 turbine. It is an honor to work on one of the new US nuclear units in 40 years.
The installation was a little challenging due to it having to be performed inside a bearing cover next to the turning gear, the only available installation location with enough axial room for the telemetry. This was not an issue due to the QUAD telemetry’s ability to pick up more than adequate signal from almost any location on the rotor train.
We will be back in Georgia to support Vogtle staff during startup and data collection. Taylor’s BBQ here we come.
